May/June 2020 Missionary to Haiti
Dear Church Family & Friends,
Greetings to you all in the name of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ “Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to
the will of God and our Father” To whom be glory for ever and ever…”
1) Sincerely Thank you
I don’t know any other word to use in order to express my gratitude for your prayer and your faithful support. I want to thank you so
much from the bottom of my heart.
I praise the Lord for your Steadfastness, your Faithfulness and your Kindness.
I believe we are living in the most exciting time in the history of mankind. We are getting closer to the coming of the Lord. It may be
2) Something Hindered me
For the last few months all of us were dealing with the Covid-19. This virus paralyzed every plan and purpose we had made. I am still waiting for the
opportunity to get to the field. As you know already, my flight on March 27th was canceled and I rebooked it for June 14. It was cancelled a second
time. Jet Blue emailed me last week saying that they are still not able to fly to Haiti yet because the Haitian government has not yet approved
commercial airlines to fly into the country. I have to rebook for July 16th. Please be in prayer, because so far, every time I plan to go to the field
something hinders me. This reminds me of the word of the great apostle Paul when he wanted to visit the church of Rome, but something hindered or
stopped him. “Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto…” ROM. 1:13.
3) Sinful Nation
The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” Ezekiel 22: 29-30
We are heading into a lawless direction more and more each day in this society in which we live. We have seen corrupt politicians that are justifying the wickedness of mobs and riots on the streets. The citizens become greedy, selfish, and harsh with one another. They have a dog-eat-dog, survival of-the-fittest mentality. Violence, brutality, robbery, looting, riots, and death become the norm in the nation. The nation becomes characterized by anarchy. It is lawless, brutal, and without God. I believe God is looking for a man, woman, a missionary, a church planter, a spiritual leader, a bus captain, a Sunday School teacher, a man of prayer, a woman of prayer, a soul winner that could stand in the gap to turn the nation around into the right direction. The environment that Ezekiel faced is the same type of environment that we are facing today. This verse also is a reminder to me that what is important to the Lord should be important to us. Matters such as saintliness, submission to the Lord, serving others, and reaching the souls of men are important to the Lord Jesus Christ and should be to us, too. God is looking for a person to stand up for Him and to consider issues that are important to God as a priority. There are many things that the Lord could do on His own, but He chooses to use a human instrument to do His will in many situations. God was looking for a man from His own people. He was looking for one person to do His will and meet the need of the hour. If you give yourself to Him, He will use you.
4) Supplication in prayer
Please pray with me for these requests: my flight on July 16th, an unspoken, our President and Vice President, law enforcement, healing of this nation, souls to be saved, and revival. Thank you. God Bless!
Serving the Lord,
Phil 1: 6
